What happens when I complete my deposit payment?

After completing your booking deposit, you will receive a confirmation voucher by e-mail with all the rental details and the remaining amount due.

Do I have to pay any taxes or additional charges on the quoted price?

CAR RENTAL

Who can rent a vehicle?

A person who proves his/her competence as a driver by producing a valid driver’s license issued at least 2 years before the date of hire. To rent a car in Mauritius, you must be at least 21 years old. For the young driver under 25, there will be an extra charge of € 11 per day.

What is the minimum rental period?

The minimum rental period is 6 days.

How can I make a booking?

Your reservation can be made easily by our secure online booking machine, by email, phone, live chat, Skype and even with what apps. To guarantee your reservation, we require 20% of the total amount. Once the deposit is credited to our account, you will receive a booking voucher with full details by email. You can use our easy and secure online booking engine, by email, phone, and live chat or on Skype. A 25% of the total rental fee is required to confirm a booking. A reservation voucher will be sent via email after the deposit payment with all details.

What documents do I need to produce on delivery?

Driver’s License Passport or Identity Card Valid Credit Card Booking Coupon

How can I pay for the rental fee?

Hire Car Mauritius accepts Cash, Master Card, and Visa Card.

How do I include an additional driver?

The additional driver will be added to the rental agreement, at the time of delivery at no additional charge is needed.

What type of Insurance cover does Hire Car Mauritius provide?

We offer a fully comprehensive insurance policy including the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP) on our entire vehicle with a deductible of 526 to 575 euros, depending on car model or category.

Do I have to pay Excess cover?

You must make an excess/deductible deposit of 526 -557 euros according to the model or category, this deposit is a refund at the end of your hiring, provided that the vehicle is returned in the same state. This can be done either in cash or by prior authorization of your credit card. Note that the excess amount of your credit card will not be debited.

How does fully comprehensive insurance Coverage Work?

In the event of an accident, an assessment is made of the damage caused. You will be asked to pay only the excess amount if the damages exceed the excess coverage as the insurance company will incur any additional costs. In cases where the damage is less than the excess amount, we will simply ask you to pay this amount.

How is my reservation confirmed?

Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive a voucher, a reservation made via a phone, a voucher will send you by fax, and an online reservation, a voucher will be received by email.

How fast can you arrange for transfer services?

Hire Car Mauritius ensures confirmation with a minimum notice of one-day notice advance, but we can accommodate most transfer reservation requests with a notice of fewer than 4 hours advance notice. Services must be fully prepaid
